This past November, voters in the City of San Jose, California (“City”) approved their own minimum wage ordinance (MWO) โ the largest city in the United States to take this action. The ordinance takes effect on Monday, March 11, 2013, and requires covered employers to pay covered employees a minimum wage of $10.00 an hour.1
