Todd Scherwin is an associate in the Irvine office. His practice involves representing employers in various aspects of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination, harassment, state and federal wage-hour matters, employment handbook preparation, trade-secret protection and day to day employment matters. Todd regularly counsels employers on dealing with difficult issues with their workforce including state and federal leave laws and wage-hour laws. Todd has defended employers in civil litigation, including bench trials and arbitrations as well as before federal and state administrative agencies including the Department of Labor, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. He regularly provides human resource training to clients and speaks to employers and employer groups regarding labor and employment issues. Todd is a member of the HR Advisory Board at the California State University, Long Beach where he has guest lectured students enrolled in the Human Resources Program. During law school, he served as an extern to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the United States District, Central District of California. Todd was a member of the University of California, San Diego NCAA Baseball Team in college.
