Mr. Strach represents management and employers in a wide range of employment law issues and related litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.Mr. Strach’s representation of employers and management includes:<li>Advising clients on covenants not to compete and enforcing these agreements through litigation to obtain injunctive and other relief against former employees who breach their covenants. <li>Defending management and employers in employment discrimination cases (primarily race, gender, sexual harassment, disability, and national origin) arising under federal statutes and state law. Mr. Strach also counsels management on how to prevent or reduce the risk of these lawsuits.<li>Advising employers on how to properly conduct background checks on current or prospective employees without violating laws such as the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.<li>Advising employers on implementing and drafting company policies and procedures (such as hiring, discipline, promotion, harassment, etc.) in such a way as to reduce the risk of successful future lawsuits against the companies by former or current employees.
