EEOC Publishes Final Conciliation Rule

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) today forwarded to the Federal Register its final rule updating the agency’s conciliation procedures. The final rule has been cleared by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and sent to the Federal Register for publication.

Walmart, Inc. will pay $20 million, stop using a pre-employment test, and furnish other relief to settle a companywide, sex-based hiring discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employ­ment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
