Jackson Lewis Appoints New Leadership in New York City

NEW YORK CITY, NY (March 10, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Douglas J. Klein has been elevated to New York City office managing principal (OMP). Doug succeeds Lori D. Bauer, who is stepping down to focus on her growing practice. Dana G. Weisbrod will assume the role of office litigation manager.

"It has been thrilling to watch Doug and Dana develop as leaders from my vantage point in New York City,” said Firm Chair Kevin G. Lauri, who served as OMP in New York City before his election as firm chair. “Both joined the firm as associates and made an almost immediate impact on the office and our clients. They have demonstrated exceptional dedication and enthusiasm towards the evolution of Jackson Lewis, and their combined experience and unique insights make them strong leaders for our New York City office."

Doug joined the firm in 2013 and was elevated to a principal in 2019. In addition to his new role, he maintains an active practice defending complex employment litigations, counseling on a variety of employment law and traditional labor matters, and providing day-to-day preventive support to employers throughout the country. Doug is known for working with start-ups and early-stage companies to navigate multi-faceted workforce challenges amid rapid growth, and regularly provides labor and employment advice to private equity investors engaged in due diligence and M&A transactions.

"Having spent the bulk of my career at Jackson Lewis, learning from so many in this office, I am appreciative and incredibly excited for this opportunity to further the firm’s legacy as a leading workplace law firm in New York and beyond,” said Doug.

Doug earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Colgate University.
