Jennifer Smith and Jackie Gharapour Wernz co-authored the article, “Shield and Sword: The Law is a Driver for Educational Equity” published in the National Association of School Board’s American School Board Journal April 2020 issue. The article focuses on how the law can be used as a driver for educational equity by reviewing recent legislation, finding internal support, and auditing compliance.
