FordHarrison Adds Partner and Associate in Two Major Cities

NATIONAL – FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce Proloy K. Das has joined as Partner in Hartford, CT and Douglass (Doug) R. Nolan has joined as an Associate in Chicago, IL.

Proloy represents clients involved in appellate litigation in various civil litigation matters, including management in employment law litigation. Proloy has argued more than 80 appeals before state and federal appellate courts including the Connecticut Supreme Court, Connecticut Appellate Court, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Due to his breadth of experience in appellate matters, he was appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit pro bono panel of appellate advocates for indigent appellants. Proloy has also argued first impression cases in several areas of law. Prior to entering private practice, Proloy served as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Appellate Bureau of the Chief State's Attorney's Office. Prior to joining FordHarrison, Proloy founded an appellate practice group at Murtha Cullina LLP.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Doug served as Assistant General Counsel and Labor Relations Specialist for the Chicago Board of Education Law Department. In this role, he advised on a host of issues related to labor and employment law. He has frequently been called upon to investigate employee and labor union complaints and grievances to recommend a fair and equitable solution within the bounds of Collective Bargaining Agreements. This in-house experience enables Doug to better understand the complex issues his clients contend with on a daily basis and to offer proven solutions to meeting these challenges.
