EEOC Sex Harassment Suit Gets $450,000 for Tennessee Paramedics

A Tennessee ambulance service provider will pay $450,000 and revise its prevention measures to resolve an EEOC lawsuit alleging it subjected female paramedics to sexual harassment and fired one woman for complaining, federal court records show.

The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee on Monday approved a proposed consent decree between the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and MedicOne Medical Response of Tennessee Inc. and a related company. It settles an October 2020 suit by the agency based on a discrimination charge filed by former MedicOne employee Orion Phillips.
