Top Coffee Shops For Remote Workers In Austin

Where is the country working from?

In recent years, 4.7 million Americans moved to fully remote work. And not only where their work desks moving to their living rooms, but their homes were moving to new cities.

But few cities are getting as much traction as Austin, Texas. Every day dozens of people are moving to Austin, according to new estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. The Austin-area continues to be one of the fastest growing metropolitan cities in the country.

Best known for its vibrant music scene, Austin is an up-and-coming tech hub and remote worker’s paradise. The Colorado River runs through the center of town (referred to as Lady Bird Lake), making it a mecca for getting out and enjoying what nature has to offer. Take a jaunt to any of the several swimming holes near the state capital for relief from the summer sun or paddle board Lady Bird Lake—no motor boats allowed! There’s no shortage of activities in and around the city.

When you need a break from exploring—or just really need to get some work done—you’ll definitely find an independent coffee house to do just that. Austin is packed with work-from-homers so you’ll find company wherever you go.

If you are new to working from home, sometimes... you really want to get out of the house. Having a fresh work space could be what makes or breaks your workday. In fact, changing your environment has been proven to help boost productivity and amplify your creativity. After all, a new environment offers a fresh lens to view your surroundings through—from the fashion of the city, to the light fixtures of a café to way businesses are ran—you might just find your next big idea or solution to your companies problems.

Some shops serve food, some booze and some let you bring your furry friends. So, here are some top Austin city choices to check out whether you're passing through, new to town, or just need a change of scenery.
