Discharges For Violating Employer’s No-Weapons Policy Do Not Violate Public Policy (pdf).

America Online has a strong no-weapons policy. AOL employees are prohibited from carrying or possessing firearms of any kind at work, in the company’s parking lots or while conducting AOL business. This “Workplace Violence Prevention Policy” applies as well to concealed weapons. AOL employees are made aware of this policy by an entrance lobby notice telling them (and visitors) that “no weapons of any type are allowed.”
