Mr. Baugh is a shareholder in our Nashville office. Mr. Baugh chairs the Firm?s Diversity Committee. His experience includes handling complex employment litigation, including matters arising under Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1980, class actions and wage and hour litigation; wrongful discharge; sexual, racial, age, national-origin, disability, and religious discrimination and harassment under state and federal laws; Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); retaliatory discharge; defamation; intentional infliction of emotional distress, tortious interference with contract; employment and non-compete agreements; protection of trade secrets; drug-testing; conspiracy; reductions in force; and workers’ compensation. His practice also includes representation of cargo and passenger transportation service providers and of transit companies, advising on issues arising under federal transit laws and DOT regulations and claims arising from drug testing under DOT regulations. Mr. Baugh?s practice also involves counseling employers on employment law compliance and litigation avoidance, including the drafting and implementation of employment policies, representing insurance companies, guiding clients through workers’ compensation claims. He represents employers before state and federal administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Tennessee Department of Labor and the Tennessee Human Rights Commission.
Mr. Baugh also has extensive experience representing insurance companies regarding coverage disputes and workers? compensation insurance regulatory matters. Mr. Baugh has extensive federal and state trial experience representing local, regional, and national clients in several states.
