Profile

Matthew D. Davison, shareholder in the Johnson City/Tri-Cities, TN/VA office, concentrates his practice in all aspects of employment law. As well as representing employers in disputes and litigation arising under both federal and state employment laws, such as Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and the FMLA, he also regularly provides preventative counseling and advice to employers to ensure compliance with all employment laws. Having served as in-house counsel for human resources at an NYSE traded company, Mr. Davison has first-hand experience with all aspects of employee and labor relations and employment issues related to mergers and acquisitions, as well as EEO and affirmative action compliance. He continues to devote a substantial portion of his practice to assist covered employers in meeting affirmative action obligations, including preparation and review of written AAPs and employer representation through all stages of OFCCP compliance reviews. Licensed to practice in Tennessee and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Mr. Davison is also a frequent speaker at programs designed to aid employers.
