Profile

I am a solo practioner who concentrates on employment law.  FOR EMPLOYERS—I work with employers, usually small businesses, in creating an employment handbook which meets legal requirements, I create contracts for hiring employees and independent contractors, and I represent employers in unemployment compensation appeals in Illinois.  FOR EMPLOYEES—I review severance agreements, file discrimination complaints with EEOC and IDHR (Illinois Department of Human Rights), represent the employee in mediations regarding discrimination complaints, and represent the employee in all phases to obtain unemployment benefits in Illinois.  My website is at www.lawyer4employees.com.

In addition I write legal themed books for Sourcebooks Inc.  My publications include books on real estate law, obtaining a first home, landlord tenant law, Illinois Wills, Illinois Divorce, and employment law.  I also am an arbitrator for both Cook and DuPage county’s Mandatory Arbitration Program.
