Job J. Milfort, a founding partner of Prioleau & Milfort, LLC, fights for his clients’ rights and best interests focusing his practice on Employment Law and Business Disputes. Specifically, Job’s practice includes pursuing and defending: employment discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims; wage and hour complaints; breach of contract claims; and tort actions. Job also handles contract negotiation and drafting; he prepares employment policies and agreements; and he counsels clients on employee discipline and compliance issues.

Prior to forming his own law firm, Job practiced as an employment lawyer and business litigator at Alston & Bird, LLP and at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC.  During his tenure at these firms, Job represented national employers, small and medium size companies, and individuals in nearly all areas of employment law.  Job also handled lawsuits alleging breach of contract, breach of warranty, interference with business relations, fraud, conversion, unfair competition, indemnity/contribution, breach of fiduciary duties, negligence, and products liability. Job has also filed injunctions and declaratory actions to quiet title to real property.

Job has successfully argued before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of an inmate alleging deliberate indifference to his medical needs in violation of 42 USC §1983.  See Brown v. Johnson, 387 F.3d 1344 (11th Cir. 2004).  He has also appeared before the Georgia Supreme Court in a suit brought against an insurance provider for negligent or bad faith failure to settle. See Trinity Outdoor, LLC v. Central Mutual Insurance Co., 285 Ga. 583 (2009).

While in law school, Job interned with the Honorable John M. Facciola, Magistrate Judge, United States District Court for the District of Columbia.  Prior to law school, Job worked as a paralegal with Hirschhorn & Bieber, PA, a criminal defense firm in his hometown Miami, Florida.

Job has published “Religious Discrimination: Knowing employees’ rights concerning religious practices,” Smart Business Magazine, July 2008. He has also served as a Chapter Editor – Linderman & Kadue, ABA Age Discrimination in Employment Law 2007-2009, and 2011 Cumulative Supplements (BNA); and a Contributing Author – Coleman, ABA The Family and Medical Leave Act 2007, 2008 and 2009 Cumulative Supplement (BNA).
