Katherine T. Mize is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has almost two decades of legal experience. She regularly trains clients on how to prevent workplace issues, counsels them on how to resolve disputes, and drafts and reviews policy handbooks, employment agreements, non-compete agreements and trade secret agreements.

Ms. Mize also represents clients in litigation of claims involving race, gender, age, sexual harassment, and disability discrimination and retaliation claims; OSHA disputes; non-compete agreements; unemployment compensation claims and appeals. Additionally, Ms. Mize represents companies and individuals in business disputes and handles complex litigation involving energy, environmental, financial, manufacturing, real estate, retail and service businesses, among others.

Ms. Mize has tried cases in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative officers and arbitrators. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1992. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors and Special Honors from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989.

To better serve her clients, Ms. Mize is fluent in Spanish.
