Mr. Davis is the Managing Shareholder of the Boston Office. He has specialized in the area of labor and employment law and related commercial litigation for more than 15 years. His practice involves the representation of employers in a wide-range of employment-related disputes. Mr. Davis has acted for employers in discrimination actions, contract actions, emergency matters involving the enforcement of restrictive covenants, and claims advanced under the constitution and civil rights statutes. In addition, to his practice in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, Mr. Davis regularly handles appeals in the state and federal courts.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Davis regularly provides counsel to both unionized and non-unionized employers in employment and labor matters. This day-to-day advice covers a wide range of topics ? including disability and leave matters, employee training, discipline and termination matters, layoffs, and training programs designed to minimize the risk associated with employment litigation. In each instance, Mr. Davis works with clients to develop compliance strategies in a manner that comports with their business cultures. He has represented many of his clients for more than a decade.
Mr. Davis often teaches the Employment Discrimination course at Northeastern University School of Law and appears regularly on The Boston Sunday Review (a Boston radio program) as a commentator on legal affairs.
