Vince Norwillo has spent his entire 19-year legal career exclusively as a management representative in a comprehensive range of labor relations and employment law issues. After law school, he became an associate with Duvin, Cahn & Hutton in Cleveland, Ohio, representing both private and public sector employers in collective bargaining and union avoidance issues, administrative litigation before the National Labor Relations Board, the Ohio State Employment Relations Board as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and litigating various employment cases in federal and state courts.
In this practice, Vince Norwillo began providing legal counsel to a two-facility construction labor leasing company in Northeast Ohio. As this business expanded, so did its need for quality, sophisticated legal services. In 1997, he accepted a position as National Labor and Employment Counsel with this company, and over the next decade, helped it mature into the largest skilled labor staffing firm in the country. During this time, he provided company executives and management with legal counsel and strategy on virtually every issue affecting the workplace as well as the employer/employee relationship.
While focusing his practice on construction and industrial enterprises, Vince Norwillo has developed an expertise in labor and employment challenges familiar to all employers, including issues involving the NLRA, Title VII and other employment discrimination and retaliation statutes, as well as state laws affecting non-competition covenants and other post-termination restrictions. In addition, he has counseled extensively nationwide on matters arising under federal and state OSHA, wage and hour, prevailing wage and workers? compensation statutes.
Vince Norwillo is a frequent lecturer and speaker on labor and employment issues in various forums across the country. In addition, he has provided expert testimony before the United States Senate on the impact of proposed federal legislation.
