Profile

Mr. Flake represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including federal and state cases involving Title VII, the FLSA, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and claims for unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets.  Mr. Flake assists employers in responding to employee complaints filed with state and federal agencies, including the Texas Workforce Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Labor.  Mr. Flake also advises and counsels clients on management policies, human resources matters, and compliance with federal and state statutes. 

Mr. Flake received his B.S. in 2002 and M.S. in 2003, both from Brigham Young University.  Mr. Flake attended University of Michigan Law School, where he was an editor for the Michigan Journal of International Law and taught undergraduate courses in the University’s sociology department.  Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Flake practiced law with a full-service firm in Dallas, where he represented employers in connection with a wide variety of labor and employment matters.
