Profile

Mr. Brook is an associate with more than 10 years experience in labor and employment law.  He has represented employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies and advised employers on litigation avoidance, union avoidance, and positive employee relations.  Mr. Brook has developed business solutions for complex employment challenges with the aim of litigation avoidance.   He developed and implemented voluntary and involuntary reduction-in-force programs and employment-related due diligence, responses to multiple union organizing campaigns and advised on compensation programs, policies and procedures, wage and hour, user and provider co-employment issues, OFCCP compliance programs, and harassment/discrimination issues.  He has published in The Employee Relations Law Journal.Mr. Brook has served as corporate counsel for two Fortune 500 companies, one in manufacturing and one in the service sector.  Prior his to law career, Mr. Brook worked in Human Resources for a leader in the chemical industry and for an international automotive supplier.Mr. Brook holds a law degree from the University of Michigan where he graduated cum laude.  He also holds a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations and a B.A. from Michigan State University.  Mr. Brook currently serves his community as Vice President of the Bloomfield Hills School Board.  He was elected to a four-year term in 2005.
