Chris Moran first became involved in the area of employment law as a consultant representing employers in the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, and the resolution of employee grievances. He also chaired joint labor-management committees for regional and nationwide employer associations.Mr. Moran received his law degree magna cum laude from Villanova University School of Law, where he also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Villanova Law Review and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif. After graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Collins J. Seitz of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.After his clerkship, Mr. Moran continued his emphasis in the area of labor and employment law. He frequently handles cases involving the ADA, FMLA, Title VII, Section 1981, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, and many other federal and state employment laws. He also regularly advises employers concerning trade secrets and restrictive covenants, the negotiation of executive employment agreements, and the employment matters connected with corporate mergers and acquisitions. His clients include employers in professional consulting, energy, healthcare, transportation, retail and other industries.Mr. Moran is trained and experienced in the discovery of electronic data and documents. He has lectured on discovery and forensic analysis of computer evidence, and has recently written The Effective Use of Computer Forensics in Employment Cases, and The New E-Discovery Rules: Complying With Them, and Using Them to Your Client’s Advantage. Mr. Moran is a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy of Temple University. He has also served as a faculty member of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Employment Law Institute, most recently in 2007, and he has spoken on a variety of federal and state employment laws as a guest lecturer at St. Joseph’s University. He is a member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
