Scott Humphrey is a shareholder in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office, and focuses his practice on labor relations, employment law and litigation.  Serving as counsel to employers, Mr. Humphrey provides risk analysis, strategic planning and human resource management support.  Mr. Humphrey has extensive jury and non-jury trial experience, litigating employment and labor matters for employers during union campaigns, representational actions, and unfair labor practice proceedings.  He has also provided legal advice and counsel to employers under a bargaining obligation, as well as represented employers in actual collective bargaining with various unions.Mr. Humphrey has appeared in a number of employment discrimination cases before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and other state and federal agencies.  He has successfully handled jury and non-jury trials for employment-related litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country.Mr. Humphrey regularly conducts employment training for employers and business organizations throughout the United States.  Mr. Humphrey received a national Award of Excellence from the 2000 Videographer Awards for his video training session entitled ?Dream Jobs?? produced on behalf of a client.Mr. Humphrey represents clients before the National Labor Relations Board and regularly assists clients with union avoidance programs (win rate of over 90%).  He also assists small and large clients in negotiating first and successive collective bargaining agreements.
