Profile

Evan J. Shenkman defends employers in state and federal courts and agencies against allegations of race, age, sex, and disability discrimination and harassment, as well as defamation, negligence, and various other common law claims. He also provides traditional labor advice, and represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board and in labor arbitrations. Mr. Shenkman litigates cases with the dual goals of achieving a successful legal resolution and successful business results for his clients. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Shenkman counsels employers on various employment issues they face each day, including wage and hour issues, labor relations issues, medical and disability issues, privacy concerns, and all forms of workplace policies. He negotiates and drafts employee-related agreements, including employment agreements, separation and release agreements, and non-confidentiality agreements—all with an eye toward providing his clients the business results they seek, coupled with the strongest legal protections possible.
