Profile

Before joining the firm’s Charlotte office, Bob Bisanar worked for Duke Energy where he was responsible for the Company’s legal affairs relating to labor and employment.  He was employed by Duke for 26 years.  Bob joined Duke Energy in 1980 as a senior attorney and most recently retired as Deputy General Counsel with responsibility for the labor and employment practice group.  Prior to joining Duke, Bob was the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Gastonia for four years.  , , Bob earned his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina.  He served as secretary of the Mecklenburg County Bar from 1995 to 1998 and is currently a member of the Board of the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation and a Trustee of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.  , In his career Bob has worked with a wide variety of labor and employment issues, including compensation equity studies, executive compensation, whistleblower claims, labor and employment issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, union negotiations and organizing campaigns, reductions in force, and OSHA.
