Mr. Harris is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, and joined the Nashville, Tennessee, office of Ogletree Deakins in July 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Harris practiced with the Nashville law firm of King & Ballow, where he represented many regional and national clients in many types of employment-related matters. Mr. Harris also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable E. Richard Webber in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.Mr. Harris concentrates his practice in employment litigation. He represents employers in both federal and state courts. He has handled cases involving Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA and various retaliation claims. Mr. Harris has also represented employers in matters involving covenants not to compete, inevitable disclosure, unfair competition and breach of loyalty. Mr. Harris has been a frequent speaker on employment issues and works with clients on preventive strategies to avoid discrimination and harassment claims. Mr. Harris received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law.
