Profile

After graduating from law school in 1987, Tom Davis began working as an associate for Ogletree Deakins and was elected into the firm’s partnership in 1994. Tom began his career in the firm’s Atlanta, Georgia office, but after 11 years there, he relocated to the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee office in 1997. During his career, Mr. Davis has engaged in a general labor and employment law practice, but has had a special interest in the area of traditional labor law. He assists clients in maintaining union-free work environments, in litigating unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board, and in responding to workplace strike situations which often involve violence. While Mr. Davis has experience in many industrial settings, a great deal of his time is spent dealing with these issues for clients engaged in the manufacturing of auto and heavy industrial equipment (particularly with their parts suppliers), the health care field, and in the industrial construction industry. Mr. Davis also has an active state and federal court employment litigation practice. In addition, he advises clients on compliance with various aspects of the federal laws, including the ADA, the FMLA, the Railway Labor Act, and the state restrictive convenant/trade laws.
