Ms. Voltmer, who is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, represents management in all aspects of labor and employment law. She specializes in defending employers in state and federal court actions involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII, the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, Section 1981, and the Texas Payday Law, as well as workers” compensation retaliation cases. She also draws on her extensive background in complex commercial litigation to represent employers in contract and tort disputes, including actions involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, compensation and severance agreements, and other business torts. In addition to her litigation experience, she trains managers and employees regarding harassment and discrimination, counsels employers on day-to-day employment issues such as termination, discipline, drug testing, and unemployment claims, develops practical workplace policies and procedures, and drafts and negotiates non-compete, non-solicitation, employment, and severance agreements.
