Mr. Melo’s practice focuses on the areas of litigation and counseling on behalf of management concerning employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, equal employment opportunity, occupational safety and health employee benefits disputes, union-management relations, wage and hour matters, executive employment contracts and other issues which concern the employment relationship. Mr. Melo’s litigation experience has been in both state and federal court, as well as arbitration and administrative litigation. Mr. Melo has provided advice and guidance to employers on matters varying from reductions in force to senior executive terminations. He is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.Mr. Melo is editor and a chapter author of the Texas Employment Law Handbook and a contributing author to BNA’s Occupational Safety & Health Law.
