Robert P. Casey has practiced law for more than 25 years, exclusively representing management in all facets of labor and employment-related matters. He is a trial attorney focusing on labor, employment and ERISA litigation, including arbitration in the private sector.Mr. Casey has acted as lead trial counsel in employment discrimination/wrongful discharge cases in the federal district courts in Illinois, California, Colorado and Minnesota. Mr. Casey’s EEO litigation experience includes the defense of single plaintiff, multiple plaintiff and class action litigation brought by both private counsel and the EEOC. Mr. Casey has litigated claims challenging employer severance pay policies under the ADEA, wage policies under Title VII, and individual and class action claims challenging company-wide reductions-in-force as well as changes in retiree medical benefits.Mr. Casey also practices traditional labor law, including representation matters under the NLRA and the arbitration of union grievances under collective bargaining agreements; he does wage-hour defense work; and he has a substantial practice in construction industry labor matters, including Association representation, collective bargaining, and multi-employer trust fund litigation.Mr. Casey is a member and past Chair of the Associated General Contractors Labor and Employment Lawyers Council. He has also been elected as a Member of the Leading Lawyer’s Network in Illinois in the category of Employment Law: Management.
