Profile

Rosemary Gousman is the managing partner of the New Jersey office. She has practiced labor and employment law for more than 20 years. She began her career at a large New Jersey firm specializing in labor and employment law. Her practice includes both litigation and counseling of clients. Rosemary has trial experience in bench and jury trials as well as arbitration proceedings. She has litigated cases involving such matters as race, sex and age discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour laws, assault and battery, traditional labor law involving union-management relations, and employee benefits disputes. She also practices before state and federal administrative agencies handling labor and employment matters. Rosemary also counsels clients on the appropriate handling of disciplinary matters, employee terminations, compliance with employment statutes and state and federal regulations dealing with wages, leaves of absence, and employee-benefit plans. She assists clients by reviewing and revising employee handbooks, employment contracts, and corporate policies on wide ranging topics such as alcohol and drug testing, discrimination and harassment complaints and disability leave. Rosemary lectures frequently on various topics in employment law both for her clients and the Council on Education in Management.
