Todd Fredrickson is a partner in the Denver office. His practice involves representing employers in various matters arising under such laws as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA). Todd has defended employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, and disability. He also is one of few Denver labor attorneys to practice traditional labor law, representing companies in union campaigns, contract negotiations, grievance and arbitration, and unfair labor practice charges. Todd has represented clients in federal and state judicial and administrative proceedings, including those before federal appellate, district and bankruptcy courts, state appellate, district and county courts, the United States Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Colorado Civil Rights Division, and the Colorado Department of Labor. Todd regularly counsels clients on a spectrum of personnel management issues, with the goal of avoiding litigation altogether. To that end, he advises employers on developing and enforcing proper application and interview policies, employee handbooks, and employment and compensation agreements. Todd also counsels employers on compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws. Much of Todd’s practice focuses on training supervisors, managers, and other employees on such issues as sexual harassment, discrimination, employee discipline and discharge, and investigation of employee grievances.
