M. Scott McDonald is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. For over ten years Mr. McDonald has represented clients in all areas of employment and labor law with a special focus on employment contracts, wrongful termination litigation, unfair competition, mandatory arbitration programs, and consulting on litigation prevention. His clients include transportation companies, manufacturers, restaurants and real estate industry employers. He is a frequent speaker at employment law seminars and a guest lecturer at local universities and colleges.


Mr. McDonald is the Immediate Past Chair of the Dallas Bar Association Employment Law Section and serves on several committees for the American Bar Association. He is also active in business groups including the Texas Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce.

Mr. McDonald has contributed to numerous books on employment law topics such as Covenants Not to Compete: State by State Survey (BNA 1995-2000); Employee Duty of Loyalty (BNA 1996-2000); Trade Secrets (BNA 1996-2000); and the ABA’s Model Jury Instructions for Employment Litigation. He has also written over 20 articles for employment law periodicals.
