Mr. Ellis has almost 25 years’ experience representing employers in labor and employment law matters. He regularly negotiates collective bargaining agreements and represents employers in grievance arbitrations throughout the eastern United States. He frequently advises employers on union avoidance issues and supervises election campaigns. Mr. Ellis has tried several cases before the National Labor Relations Board and has argued labor cases in the federal appellate courts. Mr. Ellis is Co-Chairperson of the Firm’s Higher Education Practice Group. He represents clients in the trucking, printing, manufacturing, electronics, engineering and service industries.


Mr. Ellis lectures and writes on labor law issues. He is a former chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a past president of the Harvard Law School Association of New Jersey. He has been included in the publication, The Best Lawyers in America , since its inception and is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. In the January 2003 edition of Corporate Legal Times, Mr. Ellis was named one of the four ?crack? labor negotiators in the United States. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
