AREAS OF PRACTICE
Mr. Wright is the Managing Shareholder of Littler Mendelson’s Washington, D.C. office. He specializes in representing employers and their benefit plans in all aspects of labor and employment law, most notably in the area of employee benefits. He advises benefit plans and employers regarding benefits administration and claims, ERISA and Internal Revenue Code compliance, and represents benefit plans and employers in benefits-related litigation, including claims for breach of fiduciary duty. He represents employers in audits before, and in benefits-related litigation against, the Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Wright also serves as Co-General Counsel for a national jointly-trusteed multiemployer pension and health benefits plan with over $4 billion in assets.
Mr. Wright is a frequent speaker before business and professional associations throughout the country. He has lectured before the Council on Education in Management and the Valley Educational Institute, and for three years served as Associate Editor of the Legal Legislative Reporter, published by the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans. He is also a frequent speaker at The Employer Conferences sponsored by Littler Mendelson. He has written extensively on a variety of labor and employee benefits topics. Mr. Wright is a member of the section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association.
