David S. Bradshaw is the Managing Partner of the Sacramento, California, office of Jackson Lewis LLP. He is a graduate of Occidental College (B.A., summa cum laude, 1966) and Stanford Law School (J.D. 1969). He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Order of the Coif and served on the Board of Editors of the Stanford Law Review. He is a member of the California, New York and District of Columbia bars.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bradshaw has represented numerous employers in labor and employment matters, including advising employers on their human resources and wage and hour policies and practices, litigating employment claims before state and federal agencies and courts, and handling labor relations matters. He also has briefed and argued appeals in the state and federal appellate courts.

Mr. Bradshaw specializes in representing employers in class and representative actions. He has defended numerous class actions alleging violations of California wage-hour laws. These cases have involved, for example, allegations that managers were misclassified as exempt, that vacation pay was forfeited, that employees were not paid overtime properly, that employees worked off-the-clock, that employees were not allowed meal periods and rest breaks mandated by state law, that California?s paycheck stub rules were not observed, that mandatory dress codes constituted “uniforms” under the California Labor Code, and that other provisions of California law were violated. Mr. Bradshaw also consults with companies concerning their potential exposure in California wage and hour litigation.

Part of Mr. Bradshaw?s practice includes traditional labor law cases. He has extensive experience handling representation elections, unfair labor practice charges and trials, labor mediations and arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations, and other labor law issues and proceedings. He is an experienced practitioner before the National Labor Relations Board.
