Peter Reed Corbin was born in Macon, Georgia on August 25, 1948. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1970 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1975. While attending law school, he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. He was also Survey Editor of the Mercer Law Review in 1974 and 1975. Mr. Corbin is a member of the Jacksonville, Federal and American Bar Associations. He is past president of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Development of the Law under the NLRA. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section, the NLRB Liaison Subcommittee, and a past member of the Executive Council of the Labor and Employment Law Section of The Florida Bar, and is a past Chairman of The Florida Bar Standing Committee on Fee Arbitration. He is a member of the Labor Section of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Labor and Employment Law, and Litigation Sections of the ABA. He is also a member of the American Judicature Society, the Florida Council of Bar Association Presidents, the Transportation Lawyers Association, and the North American Trucking Industrial Relations Association. He was admitted to the Florida and Georgia Bars in 1975, and is a certified mediator in both state and federal court.
