Back - View Jury Duty Pay in New York

If an employee is called for jury duty and provides notice to an employer, the employer may not penalize or fire the employee for participating in the jury service process.  However, only employers with 10 or more employees are required to pay the employee for the days missed from work up to $120, which represents the first $40 of the employee’s wage for the first 3 days of jury service only.
