Alexander Sperry • Counsel
Alexander Sperry is of counsel to Shaw Valenza LLP. He is resident in the Sacramento office. Alex has significant experience defending employers in federal and state courts, and administrative/arbitral forums. Alex handles single plaintiff and class action claims based on a wide variety of employment laws. He also has presented seminars and written on a number of employment law topics, including equal employment opportunity, wrongful termination, preventing and investigating claims of sexual harassment, and employee leave laws.
Alex received a B.A. from the University of California, Davis in 1996, and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1999. At U.C. Davis, Alex was a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society and president of his college fraternity. During law school, Alex externed for San Francisco Superior Court Judge A. James Robertson II, and clerked for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.
Before joining Shaw Valenza LLP, Alex worked as an associate in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP�s Silicon Valley and Sacramento offices, where his practice focused exclusively on employment litigation and counseling.
