He devotes his practice to representing employers in lawsuits and administrative proceedings involving EEO claims, ERISA claims, wrongful discharge, labor arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, wage and hour disputes, union avoidance, employment contracts, non-competition/trade secret disputes, commercial disputes and class action litigation. As a trial lawyer, Mr. Baldwin has served as lead counsel in defending employers at trial and on appeal in class actions, multi-plaintiff and individual lawsuits arising out of every conceivable type of workplace dispute. Mr. Baldwin was selected by AIAM and AAMA to be Counsel for Amici Curiae in the Seventh Circuit in a case of first impression under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Litigation Section of the American Bar Association selected Mr. Baldwin to be a contributing author to its "Model Jury Instructions---Employment Litigation." Employers often select Mr. Baldwin to consult with and train employees on employment practices and policies, union avoidance, investigation of harassment claims, protection of trade secrets and litigation avoidance. The Indiana Chamber selected Mr. Baldwin to author the first and second edition of the "Indiana Guide To Preventing Workplace Harassment." Since 1993, Mr. Baldwin has served as the Seventh Circuit Editor for the "Employment & Labor Relations Litigation Newsletter" of the ABA. He is also featured in the 11th-13th editions of Who's Who in American Law. Mr. Baldwin was selected as Volunteer of the Year for 2001 by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and in 2003 was appointed to the Indiana Chamber's Board of Directors. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 Mr. Baldwin was selected as an Indiana Super Lawyer by Indianapolis Monthly. He was also ranked as one of the leading Labor and Employment Lawyers in Chambers USA Leading Business Lawyers in the USA in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
