Ms. Florence joined the Firm in 1998, after practicing for two years in the litigation department of Tydings & Rosenberg LLP, in Baltimore, Maryland. Since joining the Firm, she has exclusively represented and advised employers in labor and employment matters. In addition to assisting clients with preventative measures such as employee and supervisor training and the development and implementation of internal policies, Ms. Florence focuses upon defending employers against claims of discrimination and other unlawful treatment before the state and federal courts and administrative agencies, such as the Nevada Equal Rights Commission and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 19, 1970, Ms. Florence attended the University of Baltimore School of Law where she was a member and Managing Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review. Ms. Florence is the author of: "Desert Palace, Inc. v. Costa," The Job Description (DRI Winter 2004), and co-author of many publications, including: "The Three-Headed Monster - ADA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation," Kamer & Zucker Labor & Employment Seminar (2000); "When ‘You Have Mail’ Turns Into ‘You Have A Lawsuit’," Communiqué (December, 1998); "Employees’ Section 7 Rights - The Rest of the Story," Nevada Labor Letter (Vol. VI, No. 9, September 1998); "Nevada Update, Keeping Disputes Out Of Court and Raising Employee Morale: Strategic Use of Peer Review Panels, Mediation, and Arbitration," Personnel Law Update Conference, Council on Education Management (October 1998); "Nevada Update, From Mental Disabilities To Managed Diseases - Measuring The Impact Of Invisible Disabilities In The Workplace," Personnel Law Update Conference, Council on Education Management (October 1998); "Hot Topics in the New Union Movement," Kamer & Zucker Labor & Employment Seminar (1998).

Ms. Florence presently is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association’s Section on Labor and Employment Law, the State Bar of Nevada, and the Clark County Bar Association. She served as a Director of the Clark County Bar Association from 2003 through 2004 and Co-Chair and Chair of the Community Service Committee of the Clark County Bar Association from 2001 through 2002.
