In addition to managing substantial litigation matters for Heenan, Althen & Roles, the firm he co-founded and practiced with for twenty-two years prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Althen represents employers in labor and employment issues ranging from organizing campaigns and collective bargaining disputes to assuring that employers' policies comply with federal employment laws and regulations. Mr. Althen represents clients before federal courts, including the Supreme Court, and before administrative agencies. Much of his practice deals with federal administrative procedures and requirements. He is the author of a book on Administrative Law published by the United States Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Althen's practice areas include the United States Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of the Interior, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Mr. Althen provides trade associations, companies and other enterprises with advice, assistance and representation in connection with creation and maintenance of beneficial human relations policies enhancing productivity and employee morale.
