Murphy represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including class and individual employment discrimination actions, wrongful discharge litigation, state court claims and OFCCP matters. He regularly advises on EEO and affirmative action issues, reductions in force, and ADA issues. Terry also represents employers in traditional labor matters before the National Labor Relations Board, and in collective bargaining and labor arbitration. With nearly 30 years of experience devoted to representing employers in labor and employment law matters, Terry’s experience is broad, including many different issues. His recent representations include: In 2004, 2005 and 2006, Chambers USA identified Terry as one of Pennsylvania’s leading lawyers for business in the employment area, and he also was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®. In 2006, his peers selected him to be included in The Best Lawyers in America. He is admitted to practice before multiple federal appellate and district courts. Terry is a recognized author, commentator and lecturer on workplace issues. He has published articles in the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, the Syracuse Law Review and the Labor Law Journal. He is a co-author of the Employment Law Deskbook for Human Resources Professionals (West Group, 2001 and 2005).
