He was an attorney with Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling when it joined Buchanan in 2006. Among the many significant labor and employment matters in which Jared has recently been involved are: Jared was employed for more than 31 years by USX Corporation, retiring in 1998 from the position of senior general attorney, employee relations and benefits. During his career at USX, he worked in the Labor and Employment Group of the USX Law Department, as well as on a variety of assignments within USX’s line labor relations department, including serving for eight years as the general manager of arbitration for USX and participating in all USX-USWA labor negotiations from 1968 through 1994. He served from 1964-1967 as a captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps.
