Kelly L. Bannister is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Section.

Prior to joining Buchanan, Kelly worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable F. Herbert Gruendel of the Connecticut Appellate Court, where she drafted opinions to appeals pending before the court.

While attending law school, Kelly served as a law clerk to the administrative judges of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and as a law clerk in a Philadelphia firm, where she drafted motions and memoranda on labor and employment law issues. Before that, Kelly also served as a volunteer for Justice Talking, where she developed passages on the Constitution for the Justice Learning web site. Kelly also worked as an intern to the Honorable Peter C. Dorsey of the U.S. District Court, where she drafted opinions to motions.

Prior to attending law school, Kelly worked as a pension consultant with Pension Associates. In that position, she designed retirement plans for small employers and performed annual testing on 401(k), profit sharing and defined benefit plans.

Kelly served as senior editor of the Journal of Labor and Employment Law and was a member of the Moot Court Board at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
