Lawyer Profile
Oren represents public and private employers nationwide in matters arising out of the employment relationship, including cases arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and related state tort litigation. He has authored articles for several law reviews and academic journals including the University of Detroit and Albany law reviews, the Journal of College and University Law, and West’s Education Law Reporter . He also presents regularly at various employment law conferences and offers training programs for employers on a wide variety of labor and employment law issues.

Areas of Practice

  • Employment Discrimination Litigation

    Oren focuses on defending employers in actions relating to race, gender, disability, age and national origin discrimination. He has successfully defended public and private employers against claims of harassment and wage discrimination.

  • Education Law

    Oren represents educational institutions including public and private school, charter schools, community colleges, and colleges and universities. He has provided legal counsel regarding faculty, staff and student disputes regarding claims of harassment and discrimination. He also regularly provides training to educational institutions on non-harassment practices, employee misconduct investigations, and other employment-related topics.
