Scott Johnson(Associate)Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. Lawyer Profile Scott A. Johnson is an associate in Cooley Godward’s Employment and Labor practice group and a member of the Litigation department. He joined the firm in 2003 and is resident in the Reston office. Mr. Johnson’s practice includes both employment counseling and litigation. He advises employers with regard to a wide array of employment and labor law issues, including compliance with employment laws; management of the hiring and termination process, development of personnel policies and procedures; and creation of employment-related agreements. He has represented employers in connection with litigation in federal and state court and before various government agencies in cases involving a variety of claims, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, unfair competition, theft of trade secrets and other employment-related issues. Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Johnson was an associate with Greenberg Traurig in its Tysons Corner office. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Washington & Lee Law Review. Mr. Johnson received his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia. Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
