Mazda K. Antia(Associate)Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. Lawyer Profile Mazda K. Antia is an associate and a member of the Cooley Godward Litigation department. He joined the Firm in 2002 and is resident in the San Diego office. Mr. Antia practices business litigation, with an emphasis on complex litigation, including matters particular to the health care and pharmaceutical industries. Mr. Antia has worked on a variety of cases, including securities and fraud actions, regulatory inquiries and internal corporate investigations, shareholder derivative suits, antitrust matters, contract and real estate disputes, employment matters, and intellectual property cases involving protection and enforcement of trade secrets and copyrights. Mr. Antia is also actively involved in Pro Bono matters, including the following recent cases: Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Antia served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. William J. Zloch, Chief Judge, of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. During law school Mr. Antia also externed for the Hon. Ann C. Williams, then of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and now on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to attending law school Mr. Antia was the Program Manager of the American Hospital Association's $8 million Community Care Network Demonstration Program which sought to reform the delivery of health care services through community partnerships. Mr. Antia received his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2000, where he served as an articles editor for the Northwestern Law Review. Mr. Antia received his B.S. with Highest Honors, in Health Planning and Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995. Mr. Antia is a co-author of Community Experiments In Action: Developing Community-Defined Models For Reconfiguring Health Care, 22 J.Health Pol. Pol’y & Law 1051 (1997). Mr. Antia is a member of the State Bars of California and Illinois and is admitted to practice before all California State and Federal Courts.
