Sue Odom is an attorney in the firm's Columbia, SC office practicing in the areas of employee benefits and taxation.

Ms. Odom received a B.A., with high honors, from Michigan State University in 1996 and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1999. During law school, she received the Book Award for numerous courses, including: ERISA, Partnership Tax, Corporate Tax, Estate & Gift Tax, Income Tax, Products Liability, and Legal Research. Ms. Odom also received the Aurther B. Custy Tax Award and was a member of the Order of the Coif and Wig and Robe. She was the Associate Articles Editor of the S.C. Law Review and author of "Collateral Estoppel and Employment Security Commission Decisions: Stunted Efforts to Minimize Litigation Costs," 49 S.C. L. Rev. 1151 (1998).

After law school Ms. Odom obtained her LL.M in Taxation at the University of Florida in 2000. In July of 2000, Ms. Odom authored the article "Paperless Administration of Employee Benefit Plans: A Practical Analysis of the Unresolved Issues," 53 Tax Law. 887 (Summer 2000).

Ms. Odom is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and serves on the of the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ("SPCA") board.
