Susan P. McWilliams(Member)Nexsen Pruet, LLC Lawyer Profile Susan (Susi) McWilliams is an attorney in the firm’s Columbia, SC office. She is a trial lawyer with experience in complex litigation, including malpractice, securities, lender liability, employment law, and the defense of governmental entities. Born in Waycross, Georgia, Ms. McWilliams graduated with high honor from Agnes Scott College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the Mercer University Law School, where she was the Student Writing Editor of the law review. Married and the mother of three children, Ms. McWilliams is active in her church and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Columbia. She was a 1987 recipient of the YMCA Tribute to Women and Industry award. Ms. McWilliams is also active in the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. She is Past-President of the Richland County Bar and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association, and the Georgia and South Carolina Bar Associations.
