Angus H. Macaulay, Jr.(Member)Nexsen Pruet, LLC Lawyer Profile Angus Macaulay is an attorney in Nexsen Pruet's Columbia, SC office. He is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in Labor and Employment law. Mr. Macaulay practices in the firm's Labor and Employment group and also with the Litigation team. Mr. Macaulay currently serves on the South Carolina Bar's House of Delegates, representing the 5th judicial circuit. He is a Past President of the Bar's Young Lawyers Division and is a former member of the Bar’s Board of Governors. In 2002, Mr. Macaulay led Nexsen Pruet's 'Wills for Heroes' pro bono project. He recruited 28 Nexsen Pruet volunteers who provided free wills to Columbia Police officers. The project required unusual scheduling to accommodate every patrol shift. Over three days the Nexsen Pruet team provided 50 officers with free wills. In 2003 the University of South Carolina School of Law honored Mr. Macaulay with a Compleat Lawyer Silver Award in recognition of 14 years of practicing law. The prestigious award recognizes attorneys for “Competence, Ethics and Integrity.” A native of Richmond, Virginia, Mr. Macaulay holds a B.A. from the University of the South and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Macaulay is a member of the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. He also serves on numerous boards of directors of local civic organizations.
