Regina Hollins Lewis(Member)Nexsen Pruet, LLC Lawyer Profile Regina Lewis is an attorney in Nexsen Pruet's Columbia, S.C. office and practices in the employment and labor group. Ms. Lewis received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina and her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore. Ms. Lewis practiced in Maryland for 12 years in the areas of general civil litigation, domestic law, and criminal appeals in state and federal court. She also acted as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Maryland School of Law where she taught Domestic Relations and the University of Baltimore School of Law where she was an instructor in the Family Law Clinic. After practicing as an associate in the litigation department of a large corporate defense law firm and directing a non-profit legal clinic for abuse victims, Ms. Lewis was appointed an Assistant Attorney General in 1994. In that capacity, she represented the State of Maryland, its agencies and employees in various matters including employment discrimination and prisoner’s rights claims, and civil and criminal appeals in the Maryland appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In 1999, Ms. Lewis received the Attorney General’s Exceptional Service Award for her outstanding representation of the State of Maryland. Ms. Lewis is a former member of the Inquiry Panel of the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, the Maryland State Bar Association Section Council on Family Law, and the Women’s Law Center. She is currently a member of the Columbia Lawyer’s Association and in 2004 Ms. Lewis graduated from Leadership South Carolina. Ms. Lewis is married with two daughters. She and her family attend Second Calvary Baptist Church.
